This past weekend, the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Sea Fest and Chowder Cook-Off. This year’s Sea Fest featured live music, search and rescue demonstrations, and a T. Patterson sponsored surf competition, in addition to the chowder contest.
Just around the corner and down the street from our home office, the chowder competition was fierce. The winner of the Judge’s Trophy in the restaurant category, for the the fifth straight year, was Scott Spohr and the Beach Garden Cafe team.
In the hotly contested non-restaurant category, the Peoples Choice award went to the San Clemente Journal, represented by Lisa Dilbeck, and Shelly Kindred, while the Judges’ trophy went to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines group.
